The Centre’s proprietor, Ann Rook
is an experienced dog groomer who is,
by nature, first and foremost an
animal lover.  She is passionate
about students understanding how to
do a technically correct groom with flair. 

Trainee dog groomers learn "hands on" and one on one (two partner team lessons also available)
- Practical grooming skills from head to toe plus styling techniques
- Safety
- Care of tools with tips given on how to save money in set up costs etc. 

For those wishing to set up business you will also learn
- Tools of the trade and maintenance of them
- Handling phone enquiries
- What to charge
- Marketing
- Basic book-keeping and what you can claim etc

The basic training course is over 3 sessions. If time or distance is an issue for you, a
one day condensed course is available by arrangement (B&B available)

Scissor and clipper hire is available for those who do not yet have their own tools with advice on
choosing tools.

FREE and ultra low cost grooms are offered (with conditions) to dog owners whose dogs form
part of our dog model pool.
