Our goal is to reunite EVERY lost pet and to rehome every pet - in
need of a home. We need your help to help us support pets, people and shelters
so we can keep successfully reuniting and rehoming thousands of pets
throughout NZ each year via this community service.

Adding a paid
upgrade to your free ad
You can now
also support us by adding an "extra" to your free ad,
such as an Attention Getter for $5.00. For example if
you had a successful adoption or reunion, you might like
to post a
Success Story listing which is free and
upgrade it with a $5 Attention Getter that say "Thank
you!" (payment for optional ad upgrades is via by credit card via PayPal)

We would like to thank our

It can cost anywhere up to $200 for a display ad for one day
in a local newspaper.
On the other hand Petsonthenet delivers your 1500 word ad
and up to eight colour photos nationwide for as long as you want,
for FREE. We also offer personal service, support, advice,
checklists, free online searching, SPCA found pet listings
etc....No 0900 numbers here..!
We are committed
to this service remaining free. However one way that we raise
funds is by offering optional ad upgrades for extra exposure to
Silver or Gold levels. However even our free bronze level ads provide a lot including
1500 word ads, up to
eight photos published nationwide for as long as you want, for
FREE, video and facebook links etc. Importantly we also publish SPCA
found pet listings daily for most major SPCAs.
Prior to Petsonthenet's launch in 2002 there was little in the
way of help for lost pets. There was an 0900 service that
charged $4 a minute for information you could get for free from
the SPCA, but nowhere to post an ad, except for the newspaper
or some radio stations broadcast lost pet reports once or twice
a week. But it was nowhere near enough or what we wanted, to help find our
cat who went missing in 2000. The service we needed did not
exist, so we created it - NZ's one nationwide database for lost
and found pets, making it easy to find lost pets in one place,
not dozens of different disjointed "haystacks" in which to
search for elusive "needles"
And of course, you can check this free
information online anytime for lost and found pets AND post free
ads. Petsonthenet is online and open 24/7 for EVERYONE to share
information in one easy place - the public, SPCA's, pounds,
shelters, vets etc.

appreciated our service and
if you are able to please donate to help us, help the
Thanks so much and purrs for your support in any way.
